Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these 3 steps to complete this guide

1

How Workspaces Work

The Default Workspace reflects the currently published state. Additional workspaces branch off from the current state. Each workspace has its own tags, triggers, and variables that can be edited independently. Changes in one workspace do not affect others until merged.
2

Creating a Workspace

Click the workspace dropdown > create new workspace. Name it descriptively. Make your changes, test in Preview mode, then submit to merge and publish.
3

Conflict Resolution

If two workspaces modify the same tag, GTM flags a conflict when merging. You must resolve by choosing which version to keep.
